katrinem ist Komponistin, Klang- und Performancekünstlerin. Die Auseinandersetzung mit Klang und Raum ist seit vielen Jahren ein fester Bestandteil in ihren künstlerischen Arbeiten. Eine fundierte Musikausbildung legte früh ein breites Fundament dafür, das in eine Spezialisierung auf In- und Outdoor- Raumperformances und Rauminstallationen sowie in neue Aufführungspraxen mündete. Seit mehr als 15 Jahren beschäftigt sich katrinem in ihrer künstlerischen Forschung und in ihrern Werkreihen mit der fußläufigen Begehbarkeit von Städten und der damit verbundenen Raumwahrnehmung. Es entstehen dabei unter anderem performativ und installativ erlebbare Arbeiten, die immer einen unmittelbaren Bezug zum konkreten Umgebungsraum aufgreifen.
Mit BesenBallett ist 2020 ein neues Format entstanden, das als soziale Skulptur angelegt ist. Als solche schafft sie sowohl für Performer:innen wie auch für Zuhörer:innen im gemeinsamen Erleben neue Dialoge mit ihren urbanen Alltagsräumen.
katrinem is a composer, sound, and performance artist. The exploration of sound and space has been integral to her artistic work for many years. A sound musical education laid a broad foundation for this early on, which led to a specialization in indoor and outdoor spatial performances and installations and new performance practices. For more than 15 years, katrinem has been concerned in her artistic research and work series with the pedestrian walkability of cities and the associated perception of space. Among other things, she creates works that can be experienced as performances and installations, which always directly refer to the immediate environment.
With BesenBallett, a new format emerged in 2020 designed as a social sculpture. As such, it creates new dialogues with their urban everyday spaces for both performers and listeners in a shared experience.
